About the Journal
Azkiya: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengkajian dan Penelitian Pendidikan Islam, P-ISSN: 2622-0091, E-ISSN: 2622-8424
is a peer-reviewed journal focusing on contemporary research and scholarly discussions in Islamic Religious Education and closely related areas of Islamic education.
The journal promotes innovative, contextual, inclusive, and evidence-based scholarship that contributes to the advancement of the theory, policy, and practice of Islamic education in Indonesia and the wider Muslim world. Particular attention is given to pedagogical innovation, curriculum transformation, digital education, character development, local wisdom, and contemporary socio-cultural challenges.
The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic literature reviews, research and development studies, and theoretically grounded conceptual papers in the following areas:
- Islamic Religious Education curriculum, policy, and curriculum transformation;
- pedagogical models, teaching strategies, and instructional innovation in Islamic education;
- digital pedagogy, artificial intelligence, educational technology, and learning media;
- assessment, learning evaluation, religious literacy, and higher-order thinking skills;
- Islamic educational psychology and learner development;
- Islamic character education, religious moderation, multiculturalism, peace, and inclusive education;
- Islamic teacher education, professionalism, and continuing professional development;
- local wisdom, indigenous knowledge, environmental education, and socio-cultural contexts of Islamic education;
- Islamic education in schools, madrasahs, pesantren, families, communities, and higher education institutions.
Manuscripts from related disciplines may be considered only when they demonstrate a clear, direct, and substantial contribution to the development of Islamic Religious Education.
