STRATEGI GURU DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN SOSIAL EMOSIONAL PADA ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR (SD) USIA 7-8 TAHUN DI TENGGARONG

The background of this study is the importance of social emotional children aged 7-8 years, therefore teacher strategies are needed to develop their social emotional abilities. In addition, delve deeper into the supporting and inhibiting factors in developing children's social-emotional abilities. This type of research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing / verification. The results of this study found that children aged 7-8 years at elementary school in Tenggarong, have been able to show positive social and emotional, this is characterized by children being able to appear confident in front of friends and teachers, children are able to recognize emotions, social awareness. The teacher's strategy in developing social emotional is to introduce emotions and express emotions appropriately, teaching social awareness. Supporting factors for children's social-emotional abilities are parental factors, physical and psychological maturity of children, and appropriate strategies for child development. While the inhibiting factors are the focus of the child and the lack of cooperation of parents and teachers.
