Setelah dibukanya beberapa wahana wisata di kota Tenggarong, usaha jasa penginapan/perhotelan ini mulai menunjukan peningkatan baik dari jumlah tingkat hunian maupun jumlah hotel yang ada. Sehingga dengan adanya beberapa hotel itu dapat menimbulkan persaingan dalam memikat para konsumen yang memerlukan jasa penginapan.
