PENGGUNAAN METODE PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR BIDANG STUDI PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN (PKN) SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI I
Abstract
The use of Problem Based Learning method in improving learning achievement of Citizenship Education (Civics) Class X at SMA Negeri I Tenggarong Academic Year 2010-2011. In analyzing the patterns and active
participation in the promotion, respect and human rights in Indonesia and abroad on subjects Citizenship Education , students are required to analyze in depth of the patterns and active participation in the promotion, respect, and human rights
both in Indonesia and abroad. Problem-based learning is a teaching and learning process in the classroom where students are first asked to observe a phenomenon perceived as suiTabel for use in the study mentioned .
Classroom Action Research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Tenggarong . 40 students in the X- 6 class, SMA Negeri 1 Tenggarong be sampled in this study. The research was conducted in two cycles which result in mean activity relevant
to the learning of students has increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. In the first cycle of the mean activities that are relevant to students' learning is 57.08 % and the second cycle was 78.75 % , which means activities that are
relevant to student learning has increased by 21.67 %. Mean score of student activity that is less relevant to the learning cycle has decreased from the first to the second cycle . In the first cycle of the mean scores of students who are not
relevant activity by 25 %, while in the second cycle of 11.67 % by 11:42 % decreased the mean score of the students' understanding of human rights issues, the first cycle was 6.87 and in the second cycle in the second cycle of 7.87
considered good as well as learn about the completion of the first cycle and 50 % in the second cycle to 90 %.
