STRATEGI PENANAMAN KARAKTER PADA SISWA KELAS AWAL SDIT NURUL ILMI DAN INSAN CENDIKIA TENGGARONG

This research, therefore, aims at Describing the process and strategy of implementation of character education to students of early class. This research applied qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Data for this research were collected through observations, interviews, and documentations. Collected data were analyzed through the process of data reduction, data display and making conclusions and verifications (Miles and Huberman). Triangulation is used to enhance the credibility of the data for this research. Findings of research reveal that the implementation of character education among students of early classes includes interviews with parents or students’ guardians during admission periods, utilizing book of connections, class management (bina kelas), practical worships (ibadah praktis), and supervisions from parents/guardians, education among students in the early classes includes habituation, role modelling, counsel, and, reward and punishment. Factors that hinder the implementation of this character education include characteristics of students, characteristics of teachers, differences in terms of child-raising preference, and students’ social environments.
