Abstract

Legal analysis of the causes of sexual violence against women and children. This study aims to identify the factors causing sexual harassment and to explore prevention and treatment for victims of sexual harassment. The research method used is a "normative empirical" method, combining a normative legal approach with the addition of various empirical elements.

Factors causing sexual harassment can be environmental and economic factors, such as a lack of knowledge about sexual violence. It can also occur due to the influence of social media/lack of parental guidance, following Western culture, the fading of Eastern culture, and low levels of education.

Given the impact of sexual harassment, efforts are needed to prevent and address sexual harassment to prevent its recurrence. These efforts include encouraging discussion of criminal laws, producing documentary videos about sexual crimes, avoiding threats from perpetrators, and avoiding clothing that arouses sexual desire.

However, in a more theoretical and practical crime prevention strategy, crime prevention is carried out through preventive and repressive measures.
