PEMBIASAAN TADARUS AL-QUR'AN DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH TENGGARONG

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the character of students at SMA Muhammadiyah Tenggarong is shaped by the habit of Qur'anic tadarus. The habitual recitation of the Qur'an and the transformation of the students' characters were the subject of observations, interviews, and questionnaires used to collect data. The findings show that students' character development is positively influenced by their habit of reading the Qur'an aloud. Discipline, honesty, tolerance and empathy improved in students who were accustomed to Qur'anic tadarus. Their mental toughness and self-control also improved. The results of this study validate the religious education program at Muhammadiyah Tenggarong High School that uses Qur'anic tadarus habituation and encourages other educational institutions to follow suit. The understanding of how the Qur'ān shapes student character in an Islamic education environment is greatly enhanced by this research.
