Abstract

ABSTRACT

Research activities carried out at PT. Multi Harapan Utama with the title "Technical Design (Sequence) of Coal Mining" is carried out with the aim of estimating probable coal reserves, planning the need for loading and unloading equipment to be used and planning the form of the stages of the mining area (sequence) per month, both the pit and the disposal site.

The research was conducted by first conducting a literature study or collecting references related to the research title, then conducting field observations to find out a description of working conditions in the field. In addition, data collection was also carried out, both in the form of primary data such as cycle time data, types of mechanical equipment used, and match factors as well as secondary data on Lom pit design, geological models, mining geometry and working hours. Furthermore, the data is processed and then poured into the form of a report.Based on the estimation of probable coal reserves using minescape 5.7 software, the amount of coal recovery based on resgraphic (SR) 11.59 on 1 August 2019 contained in pit 7 extending a 5 month period is 858,583 tons with a total overburden of 9,954,691 bcm. the calculation of the need for loading and unloading equipment and transportation equipment used for 5 months is the need for loading and unloading equipment Ob used as many as 6 units and the need for coal digging equipment as much as 3 units. The average need for Ob transportation equipment is 24 units. The results of the coal mining stage design at Pit 7 extend for 5 (five) months. The first month of the draft has a coal expose target of 221,882 MT with a volume of overburden excavated of 2,297,271 BCM so that SR 10.35 of the planned coal production target of 213,171 MT with SR 10.62 : 1. The second month of the design has a coal expose target of 198,596 MT with a volume of overburden excavated of 2,530,669 BCM so that SR 12.74 of the planned coal production target of 226,387 MT with SR 10.62 : 1. The third month of the design has a target of exposed coal of 183,122 MT with a volume of overburden that is excavated amounted to 2,321,331 BCM so that SR 12.68 of the planned coal production target of 209,635 MT with SR 10.62 : 1. The fourth month of the design has a target of exposed coal of 121,298 MT with overburden volume excavated of 1,727,304 BCM so that the 14.24 of the planned coal production target of 132,498 MT with SR 14.29: 1. The fifth month of the draft has a target of coal exposure amounted to 139,993 MT with a volume of overburden excavated of 1,120,766 BCM so that SR 8.01 of the planned coal production target of 146,865 MT with SR 8.39 : 1. At the end of the fifth month period the remaining empty coal inventory which will be the final of the pit is continued to the reclamation stage.
