Abstract

Based on the result of the research and the discussion about the application of cooperative study model of NHT type to increase the achievement of Bahasa Indonesia subject of the third grade students of SDN 015 Tenggarong,
the researcher came to conclusions as follows: Pursuant to obtained data, the study of Bahasa Indonesia subject of the third grade students of SDN 015 Tenggarong during the time still not yet reached satisfying efficacy. Besides the
materials which were too much, it was caused by the less of time available,and also the method or the model of study which was used by the teacher to present the material was still monotonous or was dominated by the teacher only. As a
result, the students’ activities during the time of study tended to be passive, less enthusiastic in following the study. Hereinafter, the final result of learning process of Bahasa Indonesia subject in the form of learning achievement of the
students not yet reached minimal learning completeness standard which was specified before. Based on the data, the average score of the students on daily test of Bahasa Indonesia subject was 69.91, while the learning completeness standard
reached was 56.08%. This result showed that the learning completeness of the students classically was still low. After the implementation of learning method of NHT model, the result of learning of Bahasa Indonesia subject of the third grade
of SDN 015 Tenggarong increased in cycle I and also in cycle II. This can be seen from the percentage of learning completeness classically in cycle I was 70,43% or increased 91.40% from the beginning data, and in cycle II was 30.40% or
increased 34.40% from cycle I.
