PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA INTENSIF UNTUK MENEMUKAN KALIMAT UTAMA PADA TIAP PARAGRAF MELALUI METODE PEMBELAJARAN SQ3R SISWA KELAS IV SDN 015 TENGGARONG

Abstract

Application of teaching by using SQ3R method can increase students’ activity and students’ results in learning Indonesian lesson, so that this model of study can be used as an alternative in teaching Indonesian lesson. This research aims to increase students’ ability in finding main idea in every paragraph through intensive reading by using SQ3R method. The problems faced by the teacher were the students’ ability in Indonesian lesson was still low, lack of students’ bravery to ask questions, and the students could not find main idea in every paragraph. After the treatments were done, there was an increase in students’ understanding about material of finding main idea in every paragraph. The result of study was also increased. The score of the test was 7.40 became 8.00, there was 0.60% improvement.
